How to prep and prepare yourself for your wedding day hair and makeup.

One of the most common questions we get from our brides is how they should prep for their makeup and hair to look and last all day. Over the 7+ years, I've came up with the best ways to ensure my brides the best ways they can prep their skin and hair.
One of the most common mistakes, is believing makeup can cover up majority of your skin issues. This is a lie! Having a beautiful clean canvas is the best way to ensure your makeup will appear and last all day.

1. Whenever you book your hair and makeup artist months out from your date, you have the opportunity to see a specialist or begin receiving facials and your journey to having the skin you're achieving on your wedding day.
2. Do not use any new products, or new skin care routines a month out from your wedding day. You could have an allergy to a product, you could have a sensitivity to certain products, it could throw off your Ph and cause irritations. So the best thing to do, is stick to a light minimal skin care routine that works best for you. Remember less is best. Do not think you have to over power your skin with a 10 step skin care routine.
3. Having a blow out done the morning of your rehearsal will ensure you have beautiful, silky, voluminous hair, ready for your wedding day. I have many recommendations if you need help finding a stylist.
4. I know you might think dirty hair is the best hair but this is false. It is so much easier to style hair that is as clean as possible and free of product. Washing your hair the day before/morning of your wedding day ensures you will have the perfect textures for your hair to hold all day.
5. Arriving with freshly cleansed skin and a light moisturizer if needed is the best route to go. Do not apply sun block, as it causes a reflection in your photos. Look for products that provide deep hydration such as hyaluronic acid or ingredients that support your skin’s natural barrier.
6. Receive a spray tan the morning before your wedding day. Make sure to exfoliate and moisturize before your appointment.
